Get One..... You'll Love It!!!!!

By ROBBIE(Owner), Sep. 1, 2009

I have had my 07 ZX-10R for 18 months now and currently have over 21,000 mi. I'll start off with the bad...... The stator is the only problem I have had with this bike. It seems about every 5,000 mi. I have to change it. Now with the good or should I say GREAT.... Wow where to start??? The way... you break in your bike if it is brand new is a big factor in the performance of your bike long term. Ride it rough in the break in period you'll have problems down the road. Oh one thing I forgot to mention is that I have taken my bike to the drag strip numorous times and it still has the stock clutch in it. The track is an 1/8th mi. and my quickest time has been 6.76 sec. The only aftermarket parts are K&N air filter and race baffles. Every thing is stock or OEM. HANDLING: A+, I feel very comfortable at slow speed or top speed with the handling. If your bike starts to wobble it is probably your positioning on the bike or your tire is not balanced. The OHLINS steering damper (that is stock with the bike) assists in controlling that very well. The bike's suspention should be tuned to the rider as the stock setting is set to the average rider. PERFORMANCE: A-, I say that only because under hard acceleration the front teends to come up. Well.... I guess I'll change that to an A+ haha. In all gears it is smooth in accerleration alltho when it hits the powerband you better be hanging on as it will set you back if you are not expecting it. That is under hard acceleration. COMFORT: A+, One thing that I did change is the seat. It fellt uncomfortable on long rides. Thats the only criticism that I have. QUALITY: A+, Since I exceeded that manufacturers specification on the break in period of 600 mi. if im correct, I went to 3,000 mi. before I reved up my engine above 7,000 RPM. The only thing that I have had done to the engine is have the valves adjusted which is routine maintnence.

Great bike!

By Jonathan(Owner), Jan. 20, 2015

I have a 2007 lime green zx10R and I've put only 16K miles. Nothing major replaced yet. Just the normal brakes wear and tear. Love the overall look, which is very aggressive wide body look with dual exhausts. I'd love to have the 2014 zx14R. Read Full Review

Engine Vibration

By Nathan(Owner), Mar. 31, 2009

The bike vibrates a lot, and screws fall out easily. I've had to actually replace about 10 to 12 screws and use LOCK TITE to hold them in. Read Full Review
